Spicin' it up in a Mikli

I had to share this with you- a patient came in a few weeks ago because she was "tired of wearing glasses" and wanted to try contacts. So Dr. Schultz fitted her with contacts and she tried them for a few weeks, but in the end they didn't work out, so it was back to glasses.. :) She's never worn anything but a plain metal frame her whole life- and she went to this absolutely spectacular Mikli (AL0819). And in the end, Kate was soo happy with her decision to go back to glasses and spice it up. She totally feels like it's a piece of jewelry and if she has to wear glasses, why not make it fun and look amazing?!?! I love it when people realize you just gotta have fun with frames- it's why we do what we do.

Francis Klein

Francis Klein frames are just breathtaking (really  the only word to describe them). They are so unlike any other line- absolutely gorgeous and unique. Amazing colors, shapes, jewels and all handmade in Paris. I die over this sunglass- one of my favorites.
And to make them even more perfect, the family- run company couldn't be any nicer.

The name says it all- The German line Funk Royal Optics shares with us bold zyl's in unique shapes and colors. And their posters make them even more interesting. Here are a few of my faves- check out their site for more funkness.

IT'S NEVER TOO EARLY

My darling niece obviously takes after me, looking adorable and happy in some classic RayBan aviators. :)

My fav of the week- A long time customer of ours Sammye, picking up her Bodhi 2's... They look so amazing on her! And the burnt red just pops out.
This frame is such a timeless piece. Check out this poster we have in our store- 1994 l.a. Eyeworks ad of Mike Piazza in the Bodhi!
Same frame 16 years later- and we can't keep it on our shelf!

Nice work, Barton Perreira!

Barton Perreira is starting 2010 off right. Their ad campaign for the Spring 2010 collection is marvelous. And I must say these new styles are flying off our shelves! Such timeless pieces with gorgeous, vibrant colors. My favorite you ask?.... Babylove in Dusty Mauve - the color is absolutlely fantastic and the shape couldn't be classier. Absolute perfection!

Check out the spectacular job they did on their ad campaign, and the photo shoot... both soo great with lovely music choices!
